CID questions seer of Ramachandra mutt

The CID on Friday questioned the controversial seer of Ramachandra mutt, Raghaveshwara swami, in connection with rape case filed against him.

A devotee of the mutt, had filed a case against the seer for allegedly raping her repeatedly during her stay in the ashram.

Recently, another woman filed a similar complaint against him with the jurisdictional Girinagar police, which was later transferred to the CID for a detailed probe.

Following the second complaint, a woman organisation approached senior police officers and the State Commission for Women and even staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
