CID probe ordered into minor irrigation works

The State government on Friday ordered a probe by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) into alleged siphoning of Rs. 34 crore by illegal awarding of tenders for taking up development of tanks in Kushtagi division of Koppal district.

The CID has been asked to complete the probe and submit a report to the government in three months.

A few days ago, Minister for Minor Irrigation Shivaraj S. Tangadagi requested Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to conduct a time-bound investigation by the CID into alleged illegal awarding of tenders for works.
