December 26, 2014 04:44 pm | Updated 05:47 pm IST - Bengaluru:

Concerned over the sudden spurt in chain-snatching incidents in the last two days taking the number of cases to over 17, the city police have released the sketches of the suspects and are seeking details from the public to trace them.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), P. Harishekharan, said that though they have some vital clues on the suspects, they are following leads.

Meanwhile, the police have released the sketches of the suspects who have wrecked havoc by striking women in and around the city since Wednesday evening and robbed them of gold chains worth several lakh rupees in total.

Though police suspect involvement of the same gang in all the chain-snatching incidents and claim to have obtained clues about them, no arrest has been made so far.
