The revision in the schedule for document verification for Common Entrance Test (CET) rank holders caused some confusion on Sunday as some candidates, who wanted to apply for seats under the physical disability quota, turned up at the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) office here on Sunday.
They were unaware that the medical examination and verification of documents were completed on Friday as per the revised schedule.
Candidates who turned up at the venue on Sunday argued with the officials that they were not intimated about the change in dates owing to which they had missed the opportunity for the medical examination.
Some candidates, who travelled from other places assuming that the medical examination was on Sunday, also expressed disappointment. Later, KEA officials managed to issue eligibility certificates to the students.
KEA Executive Director, Rame Gowda, said students could approach KEA for medical examination for as long as the document verification process was conducted.
He said the KEA would direct them to the NCC office where medical examination will be conducted as it would be unviable to call a team of medical professionals to conduct tests for a small number of candidates.
