CCB officials bust cricket betting racket

Investigations are on to find out if Nandakumar is part of a bigger betting racket for the on-going Indian Premiere League.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths raided a mobilephone shop in BDA complex in Yelahanka and arrested a 33-year-old man for running a cricket betting racket.

Based on a tip-off, a team of police officials raided a Nokia Mobile showroom owned by K. Nandakumar.

The police caught Nandakumar red-handed and recovered cash amount of Rs. 60,000 and two mobilephones. Nandakumar was offering bets from the punters for Indian Premiere League cricket match to be played between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The CCB officials are investigating further to find out whether Nandakumar is part of a bigger betting racket.
