The Central Crime Branch sleuths raided an apartment in Subramanyapura and arrested four persons who were indulging in cricket betting, on Tuesday.
On a tip off, the CCB police arrested Keshav Murthy (31), Yatish (29), Chetan (25), and Nitin (25), and seized Rs. 3 lakh cash, 27 mobile phones and four laptops from them.
During interrogation, the arrested revealed that Keshav Murthy had rented out the apartment for Rs 20,000 per month and was using it as a cricket betting den along with his associates. CCB sleuths said Keshav Murthy used to have links with a Mysuru-based bookie Kunal, who is supposedly well-known in the betting circuit. They used to fix the betting rates after referring to online website, the police said. A case has been registered in Subramanyapura police station.
In another incident, the CCB arrested five persons for gambling with cards in Chamrajpet on Tuesday. Based on credible information, the police arrested Raju, Satish, Santosh, Lakshman, Raju and seized Rs 1.95 lakh from them, a release said.
