CCB arrests man with 118 kg of undocumented silver goods

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths on Sunday nabbed a 48-year-old man and recovered 118 kilograms of unaccounted silver articles worth Rs. 45 lakh.

The accused Dilip Singh received the undocumented goods from an associate, R.P. Gupta from New Delhi.

Singh would conceal the silver articles in a courier packages and receive them at the airport. This was done to avoid payment of taxes.

Based on a tip-off, a team of CCB officials nabbed Dilip Singh when he was loading the goods in a vehicle at the BIAL Airport.

Dilip Singh as been taken into custody for further questioning to unearth an inter-state racket running for the past few months, a senior police officer said.
