Residents of areas in west Bangalore can now hope for Cauvery water supply. Following the commissioning of the Cauvery IV Stage Phase II, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has completed charging of different feeder mains to distribute water to residents from various ground-level reservoirs.
A press release from the BWSSB said that work on testing and commissioning of the feeder mains have been completed in the northern, western and southern parts of the city.
Work is in progress in the eastern parts.
The BWSSB will shortly supply water from Hegganahalli ground-level reservoir to authorised consumers in these areas: Pattanagere, Kenchenahalli, Javareagowdanadoddi, Krishna Garden, Mallasandra, Omkar Layout, Royal Reflex Layout, Sweet Homes Layout, Channasandra, Halagevaderahalli village area, Mariappanapalli, Jnanabharati Layout, Nagadevanahalli and Valgerahalli blocks (BDA pockets), Bhuvaneshwarinagar Layout, Jagajyothinagar Layout, Upadhyaya Layout, Gajanananagar, Hegganahalli Cross Roads, parts of Srinivasanagar and surrounding areas, Karimsab Layout, Ramaiah Layout, and GKW Layout, Rajarajeshwarinagar area and Ganapathinagar, Parvathinagar, Peenya Industrial Area 2nd and 3rd Phases of 2nd Stage and surrounding areas, and Laggere.
The BWSSB has appealed to the residents of these areas who are yet to obtain metered connections to apply through the simplified application forms.
