Businessman stabbed, robbed

Two bike-borne men attacked and robbed cash amount of Rs. four lakh from a hardware shop owner in broad day light in Kamakshipalya on Monday.

The victim, Satayanarayana, sustained multiple injuries and was admitted to a private hospital.

According to the police, the victim had gone to the bank to withdraw Rs. four lakh cash and was returning home on his motorcycle when the duo followed him on a bike.

When Satyanarayana reached Agrahara Dasarahalli Road, the duo knocked his motorcycle down and tried to snatch his bag. One of them stabbed Satyanarayana when he tried to resist and sped away with the cash bag before passers-by come to the rescue.

The Kamakshipalya police rushed to the spot and conducted investigations. The police have sought the CCTV footage of the muggers to identify them.
