: Heeding requests from students, Bangalore University (BU) has decided to extend the dates for the admission process to its postgraduate (PG) courses. A press note from the varsity, sent on Friday, said the last date for submitting applications without fine is August 19 now, as against the earlier date of August 10.

As per the revised calendar, while the omnibus merit list will be announced on August 22, the final list will be announced on August 24.

Vice-Chancellor B. Thimme Gowda said counselling for commerce courses will be staggered across four days —from August 26 to 29. The schedule for counselling for other faculties is: science on August 26 and 27, and arts, education and law on August 28 and 29.
