Brothers drown in Nagara Kere

In a tragic incident, two brothers who had gone fishing in the Nagar Kere in Doddaballapur were drowned on Sunday evening.

S. Shridhar, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Doddaballapur Sub-Division), A. Rajashekar Narayan (13) and A. Suresh Narayan (12), residents of Karenahalli village in Doddaballapur taluk and students of Aravind English Medium School, said that it appears that when one of them drowned, the other went to rescue him, but he too drowned.

The bodies were discovered by their father Ashok Narayan, a weaver, who went looking for his sons when they did not return home.
