January 30, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:41 am IST - Bengaluru:

Watch a video, recognise those in it, and walk away with Rs. 50,000, and even the pleasure of knowing that a small step has been taken against those who torture dogs for ‘fun’.

In the 31-second clip, three men, besides the videographer, all conversing in Kannada, tie firecrackers on to the tail of an unsuspecting dog. Peals of laughter are heard when the dog scampers in fear with the firecrackers in tow. Taking umbrage to this video on social media, the Humane Society International India has announced a reward of Rs. 50,000 for information on persons in the the video so that they can be arrested and convicted. The video was uploaded on January 19, and has since gathered nearly 3.1 lakh views.
