Books chosen for award

The Karnataka Yakshagana and Bayalata Academy has announced the books on Yakshagana and Bayalata arts chosen for awards for 2011, 2012 and 2013.

According to a Academy press release, the books are: For 2011: Pagadeyata by Eshwarachandra S. Betageri, Belagavi district; Yakshagana Prasangamalika by D.S. Sridhar, Dakshina Kannada district; and Linganna by Jiddu Sadashiva Bhatta, Bengaluru.

For 2012, 2013

For 2012: Girija Kalyana by late Basavaraja Malashetti Hosapete, Ballari district; Sadhaka Sampada by Subramanya Baikampadi, Udupi district; and Trimshati by Sadashiva Bhatta, Dakshina Kannada district.

For 2013 Award: Yakshagana Rangavaibhava by Manohara S. Kundar, Udupi district; Jinayakshagana Samputa by late Sanuru M. Sridhara Pandi; and Yakshagana Sthithyanthara by Mohan Kuntar, Ballari district.
