Constructions labourers working at the Mega dairy project site at Nandi Cross on the outskirts of Chikkaballapura were in for a shock, when a body of a man came rolling down from a truck which was dumping material at the site on Saturday.

A huge truck, carrying a load of dust generated from a stone crushing unit for construction purpose, dumped the material at the construction site. In it was a body of a man aged around 30 years, said the police.

Shocked, employees alerted the police who rushed to the spot and conducted a detailed probe.

The police recovered a suicide note which read, “I am Prashanth and I am going to die. The reason behind my death was due to harassment by Nagaratna Narayana, Gayathri and Sharada . Please inquire about it and take action.”

There was no address in the death note and the police are trying to identify the deceased.

According to a police officer, there were no external injuries on the body and the cause if death can be ascertained only after a post-mortem. “We suspect that he sneaked into the truck and let himself be buried under the heap of the dust.”

The police are now verifying the missing persons data and have circulated the photograph of the deceased.
