BMTC to observe ‘Bus Day’ tomorrow

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will observe its 53rd ‘Bus Day’ on Friday.

It will be observed in the following corridors: Old Airport Road (ITPL), Sarjapur Road, Hosur Road, Bannerghatta Road, Kanakapura Road, Mysore Road, Magadi Road, Tumkur Road, Bellary Road, Thanisandra Road, Hennur Road and Old Madras Road.

More than 1,500 general shift schedules will extend their normal schedule time to 22 hours on this day to accommodate additional demand.

The following new bus services will be introduced: route no. 375-E from Kengeri TTMC to Banashankari TTMC via Mylasandra Gate, Mookambikanagar, BGS Health City, Uttarahalli, Kadirenahalli Village with one schedule; route no. G-3A from Shivajinagar Bus Station to Electronics City Wiprogate via Mahatma Gandhi Statue, Cash Pharmacy, Brigade Road, Adugodi and Bommanahalli with five schedules; route no. 340-AA from Kempegowda Bus Station to HSR Layout 2nd Sector via Corporation, Shanthinagar, Lakkasandra, Dairy Circle, Adugodi to Koramangala Bus Stop and continued via Jakkasandra, Agara, HSR Layout 24th Main road, CPWD Quarters and Parangipalya to HSR Layout 2nd Sector with three schedules, and route no. 289-Z from Kempegowda Bus Station to Bandikodigehalli via Mekhri Circle, Hebbal, Yelahanka, Venkatala, Sathanur and Bagalur with one schedule.
