BMTC students concessional pass

Students who are eagerly waiting to obtain concessional Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) passes can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the BMTC has announced the schedule to issue passes to school and pre-university students.

As per the press release issued by the BMTC, primary, secondary and high schools students can obtain passes from June 8 and pre-university students can obtain passes from June 12. Passes will be issued at 36 pass counters in the city which will function from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all working days and remain closed on Sundays and general holidays. However, passes for Primary, Secondary and High school will be issued from Sunday (June 8). Application forms for issue passes are available free of cost at Major Bus Stations and copies of the application forms can downloaded from BMTC website (http://www.mybmtc.com/www.mybmtc.com).

A BMTC release said that there will be no change in pass rates. The pass rates primary Schools Rs. 70; High School Rs. 670 for boys, Rs. 470 for girls; College students: Rs. 1170 for 12 months; Rs. 970 for 10 months; Rs. 520 for five months; For professional students: Rs. 1,220 for 12 months; Rs. 645 for six months; For technical and medical students Rs. 1,750 for 12 months; Rs. 1470 for 10 months; and Rs. 770 for five months; For evening college students: Rs. 1550 for 12 months; Rs. 1270 for 10 months and Rs. 670 for five months.

The fare for ‘Travel As you Like’ system City Rs. 2,135 for five months; Rs. 4,195 for 10 months and Rs. 5,020 for 12 months.; For City, Sub-urban and Pushpak services: Rs. 2,695 for five months; Rs. 5,320 for 10 months and Rs. 6,370 for 12 months.
