BMRCL gets 110-million euro loan

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) has got a loan of €110 million (about Rs. 781 crore) from Agence Francaise De Development (AFD) for Namma Metro Phase 1.

The credit facility agreement was signed in New Delhi by Rajesh Khullar, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, on behalf of the Central government and Dov Zerah, CEO, AFD, said an official release from the BMRCL.

The release said the loan is a sovereign one granted by Government of France to Government of India, which negotiated the loan for the metro rail project.
