Members of Bharitya Janata Party staged a protest in the city in front of Gandhi statue near Ananda Rao Circle on Wednesday demanding “protection for honest officers and failure of the Congress government to arrest the killers of RSS activist Sharath Madiwala.” The protest was led by former Chief Minister and State president of BJP B.S. Yeddyurappa and former deputy Chief Minister R. Ashok.

On Tuesday, the party’s Karnataka unit workers had staged a protest against the transfer of IPS officer DIG Roopa outside the Parliament in New Delhi.
