January 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated November 16, 2021 06:47 pm IST - BENGALURU:

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the BJP of trying to misuse the Governor’s office over the issue of alleged denotification of land in the Arkavathi Layout in Bengaluru.

He told reporters here on Wednesday that his government had not denotified land in the Arkavathi Layout.

“All denotifications were done during the BJP government’s tenure,” he said.

To a question on BJP leaders’ plan to approach Governor Vajubhai R. Vala to seek sanction for his (Chief Minister’s) prosecution, Mr. Siddaramaiah said, “The BJP appears to be bent upon to misuse the Governor’s office.”

The Chief Minister said the BJP was trying to blow the denotification issue out of proportion with ulterior political motives.
