‘41 duplicate voters in MLA's house'

BJP candidate S. Harish, contesting from Nagapura ward (No. 67) in Mahalakshmi Layout Assembly constituency has complained to the State Election Commission (SEC) that there are 41 duplicate voters in the area legislator N.L. Narendra Babu's house. “Although there are only eight members in the legislator's house — Door No. 904 — in Nagapura ward, the voters' list shows 41 extra names residing in the same address. These include the MLA's relatives who are staying at Nelamangala and Hesaraghatta and who are also enrolled in the voters list of those areas,” Mr. Harish said. Mr. Harish, accompanied by Transport Minister R. Ashok, submitted his complaint to the SEC along with proof. “We want the SEC to cancel the names of all the duplicate voters in the MLA's house from the list,” he added.
