A three-in-one outlet serving as a police putpost, an accident and trauma care centre and a utility centre for the public was inaugurated on Wednesday at the busy Marathahalli junction. Rajni Mishra, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, and P. Dayanand, Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic), opened the facility.

Ms. Mishra said the junction that connects ITPL and the city probably has the highest number of vehicles in Bengaluru passing through the bridge each day. The multi-utility outpost would provide immediate medical aid to accident victims and serve as a resting place until the ambulance arrived.

SBI and Rotary IT Corridor have set up the outpost. Sakra Hospital has offered to treat accident victims.

Mr. Dayanand said the outpost would provide some relief to police staff working at the bridge and said such facilities should be replicated elsewhere in the city.
