Benaka to present 501 show of Sattavara Neralu

Theatre troupe Benaka will be performing its 501 show of G. B. Joshi’s play ‘ Sattavara Neralu ’ (Shadow of the dead) on May 17 at the Ravindra Kalakshetra.

Benaka (Bengaluru Nagara Kalavidaru), which was founded by renowned theatre personality B. V. Karanth in 1974, will be celebrating its 40 anniversary this year. The play will be staged in the Kalakshetra’s Samsa auditorium at the Kalakshetra.

Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, theatre and cine personality T. S. Nagabharana said that the oft-performed play, first staged in 1975, would be presented by the fourth generation of actors .

A DVD of the play would also be released on the same day.
