District administration demolishes two commercial buildings built on encroached land

Officials of the Bangalore District Administration (South Taluk) demolished two commercial buildings in Arakere on Banerghatta Road which has been built on the 25 guntas encroaching the lake illegally.

The owners of the building, identified as Ashwanth Narayana Reddy and Surendra Reddy, have not only encroached the lake and built the multi-storeyed building, but also rented it out to many commercial establishments for the past ten years.

The officials who had served the notice to the accused on Wednesday demolished the building and fenced the area which was worth Rs. 25 crores, Banglaore South Tahsildar, Dayanand said.
