BBMP, which is dominated by the BJP, has taken extra care to ensure a smooth ride for Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he visits the city on Tuesday.

All potholes on the route that he will take from HAL airport to Raj Bhavan have been filled overnight. Mayor N. Shanthakumari and BBMP Commissioner M. Lakshminarayan visited Old Airport Road on Monday evening to inspect the ongoing work.

Unhappy with the condition of the road even after all potholes were filled, the mayor ordered the laying of a single layer of asphalt on a small stretch whose condition was very bad. The work is being taken up overnight so that the road is ready for use on Tuesday.
