The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) students from 33 Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) schools have fared well in the examinations conducted in March 2012. Of the 2,044 students who wrote the examination, 1,151 passed, taking the pass percentage to 56.31.

However, the pass percentage has come down marginally from last year's 56.64 to 56.31 this year. Of the 1,092 students who appeared for the SSLC examination in 2010-11, 1,185 passed. While 10 students secured more than 85 per cent, 236 secured first class, 289 second and 660 third. The pass percentage was a low 35 in the 2009-10 academic year.
