BBMP employees to strike work today

If you have work at the BBMP office or ward offices on Monday, you might want to consider putting it off by a day as the BBMP Officers and Employees’ Association has called for a strike on Monday. The strike has been called by the union against the deputation of non-KAS officers in various key departments in the civic body. Sources in the BBMP said the ward offices were likely to remain closed on Monday. P. Dayanand, president of the association, said many of the non-KAS officers were working on deputation basis in key posts. “These officials have no knowledge about the functioning of the civic body,” he alleged.
