Government schools and colleges will remain open on Thursday, G.C. Prakash, Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore (Urban), has said.
However, private managements will have to take a call on whether their institutions will open on Thursday.
KSRTC and BMTC officials said that the transport unions had called for a 12-hour strike and that the services would be restored on Thursday.
