Autorickshaw driver B. Narasimha was on M.G. Road at the time of the blast. Someone sought his help, he told The Hindu . He turned into Church Street when he saw the injured. He agreed to take them to the nearby hospital.

He thought Bhavani Devi was dead as she was bleeding from the head. Karthick had injuries on his back. The entire family, nine members in all, wanted to get inside the auto. Somehow, he accommodated all of them in the autorickshaw and took them to Mallya hospital.
