December 24, 2014 12:55 am | Updated May 23, 2016 04:54 pm IST - Bengaluru:

Nearly 70 children suffering from cancer had to wait for over two hours on Tuesday evening at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology to greet Chief Minister Siddaramaiah who inaugurated the first floor of the paediatric block, which was donated by the State Bank of Mysore.

The children were being monitored by volunteers of an NGO that runs a school for paediatric inpatients in the institute. They sat on the ground at the entrance of Kapoor Block and waited for the dignitaries.

However, a doctor in charge of overseeing arrangements involving children, said they “were not put to any hardship.”
