After chaos and delays during the first two days, the admission process for the Common Entrance Test rank holders at Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) here went on smoothly on Saturday.

With fewer students at the centre, those having a rank close to 70,000 were able to pay their fees as early as 3 p.m., although their turn was scheduled for around 6 p.m.

According to a KEA press note, 1,308 candidates have so far collected their admission orders in medical, 123 in dental, 140 in ISMH, 18,016 in engineering and 128 for architecture courses.

The last date for reporting to the respective colleges and updating the same on the KEA website is July 31, failing which, the allotted seat will be cancelled even if the candidate has physically reported to the college, said the release. All helpline centres will work on Sunday and Monday as well.

The Postgraduate Common Entrance Test for admissions to ME, M.Tech., M.Arch. courses was conducted on Saturday.

On Sunday, the test will be held for MBA (10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.) and MCA (2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.) courses.

COMEDK

As many as 640 engineering seats were allotted on the day 3 of the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) counselling on Saturday.

As many as 16,102 seats are available.
