A day after four blank answer scripts of Bangalore University (BU) were found at a bar and restaurant in Marathahalli, the university issued a show-cause notice to New Horizon College on Friday. University Registrar (Evaluation) Ninge Gowda K.N. said an explanation was sought from the college within three days from receipt of the notice as to how the answer scripts were misplaced and why university was not informed about it.

On Thursday, the Registrar said the college had more than 2,000 unused answer scripts after the previous semester exams and had asked university for 8,000 more answer scripts for the current semester exam. Of the 8,000 scripts, only 5,300 were used.

The serial number of the answer scripts found in the bar matches with those used on November 25 for the first semester BBM examination.
