Sri Rama Kala Vedike is organising Nada Namana, a festival of classical music, that starts at 9.30 a.m. and continues till 9.30 p.m., with a series of concerts. The event at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan (Race Course Road) is free and comes with a working lunch.
The event will see vocal duet by Poornima Kulkarni and Bharati Pratap, Stree Taal Tarang’s performance, Hindustani vocal by Master Krishnendra Samarth, tabla solo by Rupak Bhattacharjee, Hindustani vocal by Prasad Khaparde and Bansuri by Rupak Kulkarni. Renwoned Hindustani vocalist Vinayak Torvi will be honoured with the Kalashrunga Award, followed by his concert.
Lexicographer G. Venkatasubbaiah and others will be guests at the event.
