The school where a six-year-old was raped is scheduled to reopen on Monday.

While classes from five to 10 will be reopened from Monday, the remaining classes will be reopened in a phased manner. This decision was taken at the meeting held on Thursday between the school management and parents.

According to a parent, who attended the meeting, the school management had agreed to all the demands put forth by the parents, including a thorough background check for all staff and forming a parent-teacher association.

The school has also decided to form a task force to ensure that all demands of the parents are met at the earliest. The school is also likely to have parent volunteers to monitor the situation from outside the school. The management has also agreed to increase the number of CCTV cameras in the school premises.

Earlier, when one section of parents were deeply involved in negotiations with the >school management, another section was made to wait for more than two-and-half hours. These parents seemed restless and wanted the management to address all their concerns and meet their demands.
