A police officer was assaulted by an African on Thursday night while the officer was trying to arrest him for selling fake American currency.
The accused has been identified as Adam (36). The Police Commissioner is in Banaswadi to take stock of the incident.
The officer who went to arrest him with others is identified as Shivakumar.
