If you want to take a look at exotic plant varieties, some of which are sourced from outside the country as well, all you have to do is to head to the Glass House in Lalbagh. From Friday, a three-day ‘Nursery Mela’ is being organised by Nurserymen Co-operative Society to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The mela will have around 10,000 plants in 100 varieties, including ornamental flowering plants and exotic plants sourced from abroad. Replicas of monuments at Hampi have been reconstructed and decorated with flowers and plants.

As many as 40 stalls will be set up aimed at being a one-stop destination to address all your garden needs.

M. Seetharam, who is the fifth generation nurseryman, recalled that the society, located within Lalbagh, had helped hundreds of nursery owners market their produce.
