In a swift action, the Peenya police on Friday arrested 22-year-old woman, who with the help of her paramour, murdered her husband in cold blood to reunite with her boyfriend.

The victim, Varadaraju, was found dead with his throat slit at their rented house in Peenya on Monday night, when Vinutha, his wife, had gone to buy groceries.

Varadaraju , who runs a photo studio and also works as sales executive, married Vinutha six years ago and the couple have a four-year old child. The couple had left the child at their parents house in Mysuru, while they were working in the city.

The Peenya police who initiated probe stumbled upon Vinutha childhood friend Shashikumar.

The police soon after the incident kept a watch on Vinutha and even verified her call record details.

Based on the information, they picked up Shashikumar, a private firm employee from Mysuru and a detailed probe led him to confess to the crime.

Investigations revealed that Vinutha had an affair with his childhood, who even approached her parents asking for her hand in marriage.

However, her parents rejected the proposal and married her off to Varadaraju.

However, both continued to have an affair. Varadaraju recently came to know about the affair and had a fight with Vinutha.

Enraged, Vinutha convinced Shashikumar to kill Varadaraju so that they could get married.

As per the plan, Vinutha left home on the pretext of buying groceries as soon as Varadaraju returned home.

Shashikumar has promised his friends Vikas (22), K Raghu (21) and a juvenile boy to pay Rs 1.5 lakh to kill Varadaraju. The three barged into the house and killed Varadaraju.

The accused have confessed to the crime and based on their information we have recovered a motorcycle and lethal weapons used to commit the crime, a senior police officer said.

The accused have been booked under murder charges and remanded to judicial custody.
