Just when the city is yet to come to terms with the sexual assault of a three-year-old in a school in Jalahalli, yet another case of sexual abuse at a private school in Indiranagar came to light on Thursday.

A six-year-old Class 1 student was sexually abused twice, allegedly by a high school Hindi teacher.

The child was able to identify the perpetrator, Jaishankar (40), who has been detained by police.

According to police, the child was raped on Tuesday and Wednesday. The elder sibling of the child studies in the same school.

Police said when the girl went home around 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday her mother found injuries near her private parts. She rushed her to a private gynaecologist who confirmed sexual abuse, but refused to give a written certificate.

The girl reportedly told the mother that the teacher took her to the girls’ bathroom and abused her.
