530 fake printer ink cartridges seized, two arrested

A team of CCB officials raided two godowns under the jurisdiction of Bharathi Nagar Police Station and seized 530 fake printer ink cartridges worth Rs. 33 lakh and arrested two persons.

The arrested have been identified as Radheshyam and Ramlal. The main dealer of the cartridges, identified as Babu Khimgi Gadri, is absconding.

The accused had packaged the cartridges to look like genuine HP, Samsung and Canon products with the logos and price tag of the companies. They were selling the cartridges at the price of the genuine one’s and cheating customers. They have been in the business for the past 3 months.

A case has been registered with Bharathi Nagar police station under Section 51(1),(b) Section 63 and Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
