While the Transport Department launched a special drive against private vehicles plying on Hosur Road, the city traffic police have also joined hands and booked 45 Tempo Travellers for illegally transporting passengers on ORR last night around Madiwala.

The private vehicles have no permit to carry passengers in the city and also violate traffic and road safety rules, a senior police officer said.

M.A. Saleem, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), urged the people not to use unauthorised Tempo Travellers for commuting but only BMTC buses or company transport.
