A 30-year-old employee of a hotel was found hanging from a tree in Lumbini Gardens near Nagawara on Sunday morning.
Amruthahalli police said the body of Hanuma, a resident of Veeranapalya, was found by his friend who lives nearby.
Police believe that Hanuma was a chronic drinker who suffered from severe financial issues. Police did not find any death note from the spot.
A case of unnatural death has been registered in Amruthahalli police station.
