Compensation of Rs. 5 lakh for Bhavani’s kin

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh for the family of the deceased Bhavani Devi.

The body was shifted to her hometown Chennai on Monday afternoon. The State government has also announced that medical expenses of the injured would be borne by the government. Two of the injured Karthik and Sandeep H. were operated on at private hospitals in the city on Monday.

Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi has announced an award of Rs. 10 lakh for anyone coming forward with information that could help crack the case. He promised that the informant would not be harassed and would be given complete confidentiality.
