16 Kashmir girls in city as part of Operation Sadbhavana tour

A group of 16 girl high school students from Uri district of Jammu and Kashmir, on a visit to the city as part of Capacity Building Tour under Operation Sadbhavna, met Maj. Gen. K.S. Nijjar, General Officer Commanding of Karnataka and Kerala Sub-Area, on Saturday.

The students arrived in Bengaluru on May 2 and have visited Corps of Military Police Centre and School, Army Institute of Fashion and Design, Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, ASC Centre and College, HAL, Planetarium, Tipu Sultan Palace, Commercial Street, UB City, Mantri Mall, M.G. Road, Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha , Bannerghatta and other tourist places in Bengaluru. They visited Raj Bhavan and met Governor Vajubhai Vala. The students are in the city till May 11.

The main focus of this women exclusive CBT is to increase their awareness about the latest advancements in the field of science and technology, software industry, business management, hospitality and service industry. While providing them the exposure to the employment opportunities it will also endeavour to show the unity and diversity, rich heritage and economic progress made by the country, a statement from the Indian Army said.
