12 roads declared no parking-zones

August 06, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 09:04 am IST - Bengaluru:

The traffic police have earmarked 12 major roads as no parking-zones.

R. Hitendra, Additional Commissioner of Police (traffic), said that the order was issued following a decision taken in a coordination meeting with civic agencies on high density roads that need overall improvement.

Civic agencies, including the BBMP, BDA and BESCOM, will work on the roads to address issues ranging from potholes and median installations to ensuring pedestrian crossings, skywalks, underpasses and signals. The jurisdictional traffic police have been instructed to strictly enforce the no-parking rule and take action against violators, he said.
