A status report on pending public private partnership projects of VisakhaPatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) will be prepared so as to decide a course of action avoiding any further delay.

VUDA Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj held a review with officials and project partners with a view to finalising the fate of various projects under the PPP.

The Vice-Chairman, after listening to grievances of developers, directed the officials to prepare comprehensive reports on the status of each project to place the same before the forthcoming VUDA Board meeting. VUDA has taken up a number of projects in the areas of housing, tourism, entertainment, and commercial space under the PPP mode on the basis of lease, revenue-sharing, and Build-Operate-Transfer.

The Big Screen at Tenneti Park, the Commercial Complex in front of VUDA office, mega housing project at Rushikonda, Boat Club at VUDA Park, Vaisakhi Jala Udyanavanam and ultra modern layout at Dakamarri are among the projects.

Vaibhav, Maytas, Radiant, L&T, Fusion Foods, Nirmitha Boat Club, Ambica, Vensor, and other organisations were assigned these projects through open tendering and open auction procedures.

Some housing projects like Panchavati Township, Bay Mount, and Sunny Isles at Rushikonda and commercial complex at Vizianagaram have already been completed.
