The YSR Congress on Tuesday demanded that the government initiate action on alleged corruption and irregularities in the administration of the Super Bazaar and withdraw the G.O. that extended the term of the present governing body.

District president of the party G. Amarnath, while leading a dharna in front of the Collectorate, alleged that the present governing body misused public money and charged the chairman with swindling Rs.100 crore through corrupt practices.

Unfortunately, the government extended the term of governing body by six months though two days prior to that it made the Joint Collector in charge officer of the Super Bazaar.

Party’s Visakha South segment in charge K. Guruvulu said that the Super Bazaar was set up to provide essential commodities at a fair price to consumers but the cooperative unit was steeped in corruption.
