Workshop on digital alternative to animal dissection

Department of Zoology, Dr. V.S. Krishna Government Degree College, will be organising a one-day national-level workshop on ‘Digital alternative to animal dissections and experimentation’ on Friday, on the college premises.

According to the convenor of the workshop, Prof. T. Samuel David Raj, the workshop is aimed at enforcing the ban imposed by the University Grants Commission on dissection of animals in the laboratories in graduate and PG courses.

The brochure for the workshop was released by the Commissioner of Collegiate Education K. Sunitha, here on Monday.

The workshop is being organised in association with Mahatma Gandhi Doerenkamp Centre for Alternative to Use of Animals in Life Science Education, Bharatidasan University, Thiruchirapalli.
