Worker electrocuted

An electrical worker was electrocuted when he accidentally came into contact with a live wire while replacing an electric meter at a house in Maturu village under Anakapalle police station limits, on Monday. The deceased was identified as M. Venkata Mahesh Raja (28), a native of Maturu village.

According to Anakapalle rural Inspector Mr. Prasad, the electrician was a contract worker with the AP Transco.

On Monday, he had gone to one A. Narayana Rao's house to change an electric meter, and he accidentally came into contact with a live wire and got electrocuted.

Police said that Mahesh was shifted to a hospital and he was declared brought dead. A case has been registered.
