Women’s college students demand better amenities

Students of Visakha Government Women’s Junior College, under the aegis of Students’ Federation of India (SFI) submitted a memorandum to the Collector on Tuesday seeking a solution to their demands.

They noted that drinking water supply was inadequate, there are no dustbins and the toilets are unclean and there are is shortage of teachers at the college.

The demands of the students include: regular cleaning of toilets both every morning, provision of dustbins in the toilets, provision of drinking water, appointment of teachers for economics and commerce and provision of basic amenities at the college.

The students were led by SFI Women’s College Committee president M. Jhansi and secretary B. Kusuma.
