A woman complained to the Police Commissioner on Saturday that Fourth Town SI Ganesh was behaving in a high-handed manner.

Kanthisri of Kancharapalem lodged a dowry harassment case against her husband in 2006. Her husband too lodged a complaint against her and her family members, accusing them of hitting and forcing him to consume poison. Subsequently, they compromised and started living together. On January 29 this year, Kanthisri again lodged a dowry harassment complaint against her husband at the Central Complaint Cell and the case was endorsed to the Fourth Town Police Station. The woman met Police Commissioner B. Shivadhar Reddy and alleged that the SI was summoning her to the police station at odd hours on the counter complaint filed by her husband.

The Commissioner said he had asked the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) P. Viswa Prasad to probe the matter and submit a report.
