Wall atop Isukakonda precarious

April 03, 2014 10:31 pm | Updated May 21, 2016 08:13 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

The permission of the Election Commission should be sought to carry out repairs to the retaining wall and riveting atop Isukakonda on the KGH premises before the onset of the rainy season, Municipal Commissioner M. V. Satyanarayana told officials during a visit on Thursday.

The wall faced collapse owing to construction of a queue complex at the Satyanarayana Swamy temple on the hillock. Work on the retaining wall and riveting should be taken up immediately as rains might wash away the mud support.

As the model code of conduct is in force, a letter should be addressed to the Election Commission seeking its permission to take up the work.
